***GONE 08/25/16*** COW IS A GUY WITH A HURT PAW!! COW is only 4 months old and there is something wrong with his front paw which could be congenital or trauma related. COW lived in a colony with a caretaker and rather than the caretaker getting him vet care, he brought him to the ACC!! Now COW has to worry about losing his life!! I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/21/2016 from NY 10306, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

08/21/16 13:15 Animals appearance- The fur appeared to be clean and at a healthy weight. The cat has a injury to the fron left paw. Animals demeanor- The cat was easily transfered to a den. The animal is part of a large colony by the finders house. He is a colony care taker and he noticed that there was something wrong with this cats front left paw.

Reaction to assessor: Cow looked tense, hiding in the cat den when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Cow remained in place, alert with pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Cow avoided contact, hissed and striked at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Cow is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
