**SAFE 04/05/16** Anyone reading this thread would have more sense than COSITA’s former owner, who gifted this gorgeous 9-year-old girl to someone else in their family. That happened back in September, and what did NOT happen then, was that Cosita’s new owners did not make sure the landlord allowed cats! That has caught up with Cosita, and tonight she faces death because the people who were responsible for her care did not do their due diligence. Read her biography to get a better sense of this AVERAGE-rated sweet girl, and read these loving volunteer comments as well: “A volunteer writes: Last weekend I met Cosita, who was meowing loudly, calling for attention and feeling unsettled during the several hours that I spent in the room with her and the other kitties. Only a few days later, Cosita has quieted down and seems to have recovered her inner sweet girl. Today she was calm and quiet, and really appreciated the attention I gave her. She is easy to handle and loves being caressed. I am so glad to have been able to interact with her once again and to find out how sweet Cosita is.” A FOSTER/ADOPTER IS NEEDED TO SAVE COSITA, TONIGHT!

03/23/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
03/23/16 12:22 Cosita is a 9 year old spayed DSH; she was given to her owner from a family member and has been in their care since September. She is being surrendered into our care center due to landlord rules. Health wise she at time throws up her food so she was placed on specific Science Diet food. With strangers she is shy for days; will hide under the bed. She doesn’t play with adults; with children she has been around ages 3 and 4 and is relaxed; when comfortable she even rubs on them. She spent time with a male cat age 3 and was aggressive when around; she would swat and hiss when he was around and at times walk up and growl. There is no known history of her being another person or animal. Hides in fear; and has been aggressive to other cats. Cosita does have litter box accidents which occurs rarely; she is both pooping and peeing outside of the box this occurs only when the box is full and hasn’t been cleaned out. Never have gotten a bath nor her nails trimmed. Depending on her mood she will allow you to brush her coat. When being picked up and held it’s a struggle she will push away. Cosita is described as being shy and fearful; with a low activity level. Her favorite thing to do is sleep; when home she likes to follow you around or be in her favorite spot. She will do best in adult an only home. She was mostly kept indoors and slept on the couch. She ate Science Diet at least 2 times a day; Litter box trained she used an uncovered box with clumping litter. She would often scratch on a wooden door. During intake all handling was allowed from counselor to be scanned (negative), collared and photographed.
