For a New family to Know:

ENRICHMENT NOTES:
05/14/17
Sitting crouched in back of kennel with wide eyes. Tolerates petting along head and body while remaining wide eyed and looking around the room with ears forward.
05/15/17
Lying in back of kennel with a relaxed body. She rolls over onto her side when she sees me approach and reaches out towards me. Allows petting along head and body chirping and tapping back feed against floor, tail lowered. Seems like she may be in heat -may be displaying more social behaviors for that reason.
05/17/16
Pressed up against the back of the kennel with wide eyes. Keeps tail wrapped around her body. Eyes follow all movements. Wouldn’t come forward when coaxed. Remained motionless when the door opened, eyes dart around. Lip licks when spoken to softly and slowly leaned away when I extended my hand out. Squints at first and takes a few seconds to relax. Slowly tilts head, allows cheek rubs. Seems to enjoy petting on her head and gently along her body. Feels confident at the back
.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Laid back
VOCAL: Quiet
CHARACTER TYPE: Shy
RECOMMENDATIONS:
No other cats OR multi-cat home with adopters experienced with introducing new cats – Coco remains social and easy to handle with her human caretakers, but please be aware that Coco may be uncomfortable around other cats her size. Their previous owner reports she becomes fearful whenever she notices a neighboring cat. Due to the described behaviors, we recommend Coco goes to a home with no other cats OR into a multi-cat home with cat parents experienced with introducing new cats slowly and gradually over a long period of time.
Experienced cat parent may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parent
