SAFE 09/09/16***CLOUDY is a handsome, silky 6 month old kitten, with big yellow eyes and a black glossy coat. He was brought into the shelter in a trap with hopes that he can find a home and become someone’s sweet cat pal. CLOUDY is a sweet but scared guy and needs lots of attention and patience so he can learn to trust humans. If he’s not rescued, this handsome young kitten will be killed at the shelter. This poor guy doesn’t deserve such a sad fate. CLOUDY can be rescued through New Hope Rescue. PLEASE contact them at [email protected] to save this sweet young kitten’s life!!!

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 08/29/2016 from NY 10312, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-072147.

08/29/16 13:29 Animals Appearance- The animals fur appeared ot be clean and at a healthy weight Animals Demeanor- The cat was transfered from a trap into a den with no directly handling. The animal was frightened but interested in its surroundings. The animal was trapped and brought to SIACC because they are using the bathroom on the finders yard. The population that the neighbor is feeding keeps on growing.

Cloudy came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Cloudy frightened but interested in his surroundings. Reaction to assessor: Cloudy is hiding in the back. Reaction when softly spoken to: Cloudy becomes very alert, wide eyes and stiff. Reaction to cage door opening: Cloudy attempts to flee. Reaction to touch: Cloudy attempts to flee and moves away to avoid touch. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Cloudy is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. Cloudy is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
