I am a female white and orange domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 12 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 12/01/2016 from NY 10454, owner surrender reason stated was TOO MANY P. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-083038.

12/06/16 16:30 S/O: Active URI signs seen on rounds: nasal d/c, sneezing a: uri p: doxycycline 10mg/kg sid x10d 12/02/16 14:35 S: O: AU: WNL OU: iris atrophy Oral: no lesions, significant dental caluli and tartar, gingivitis Int: left cranial thoracic mammary slightly enalrged, soft with no obvious mass, right caudal thoracic mammary is moderately enlarged, soft with a 2mm diameter firm round mass associated with the teat Lnn: WNL CV: NMA, s&s pulses, pink moist mm Resp: lungs clear x4 Abd: SNP Repro: female MS: 4x ambulatory, BCS 5/9 Neuro: PLRs, menace & mentation WNL, CPs WNL, no ataxia A: geriatric periodontal disease mammary gg cysts P: no tx at this time continue monitoring mammary glands for mass growth Recommend aspirate of masses if concern persist (ie if masses grow rapidly), but aspirate will not definitively rule out neoplasia and is not able to distinguish beign vs malignant tumors. mammry neoplasia in cats are >90% malignant and are typically very aggressive fast growing tumors. recommend dental cleaning px: good at this time

12/01/16 13:44 Basic Information Cinnamon is a 12 year old female domestic short hair. Owner is surrendering her because he has too many cats in his home. He has a total of four and it has become too much to handle. Owner got Cinnamon from a pet shop 12 years ago. Owner stated Cinnamon has no medical issues but does not remember when she last saw a vet. Socialization Cinnamon is friendly around strangers. She has lived and spent time with kids of all ages. She was playful and affectionate with these kids. Owner stated his 7 year old niece always puts Cinnamon in a stroller and Cinnamon does not mind. She plays in a gentle manner with adults and kids. She lived with three other adult cats, a 7 year old male, a 7 year old female, and a 5 year old female. These were her offspring. They were affectionate and playful with each other. They played in a gentle manner with each other. She lived with a Yorkie and was affectionate and playful with this dog. She has never bitten or scratched a person or animal. Behavior Owner stated Cinnamon has no behavior issues. She was relaxed during the car ride to our shelter. Cinnamon is not bothered by bath time, being brushed, picked up, placed in carrier, or if disturbed while sleeping. Owner has never trimmed her nails. For a new Family to Know Cinnamon is described as friendly, affectionate, and playful with a high activity level. She will follow her owner around when home. She likes to play with wand toys and string toys. She was kept indoors only and slept anywhere. She was fed Pedigree and kibble mix cat food. Owner stated he would mix the dry and wet and feed her three times a day. She uses a hooded cat litter box with clay style litter in it. She uses a scratching post made out of carpet. Behavior during Intake Cinnamon tolerated all handling. No signs of aggression were displayed.

Reaction to assessor: Cinnamon does not come to the front, but remains neutral. Reaction when softly spoken to: Cinnamon does not come to the front, but remains neutral. Reaction to cage door opening: Cinnamon remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Cinnamon solicits petting and attention – rubbing against the assessor’s hands and purring. Reaction to being picked up: Cinnamon sits calmly in the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Average Cinnamon interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
