**SAFE 07/04/16** PERFECTLY HEALTHY CHUNKY IS AN AFFECTIONATE AND PLAYFUL CAT BUT THE ACC WILL STILL KILL HER TOMORROW FOR FRANKLY – NO REASON AT ALL! The ACC maintains they do not kill healthy adoptable pets. But try telling that to poor CHUNKY here whose owner dumped for having “too many” pets. CHUNKY was brought in with her housemate Lil Cat A1078641 who is not listed tonight. In her bio it states that she recently had kittens and the teenager in the house no longer wanted Lil Cat after he killed one or two of CHUNKY’s newborn kittens!!! So rather than spaying and neutering their cats, they just dumped both of them!! Poor CHUNKY now faces death for no reason – on her behavior assessment she allowed petting and attention but because she was indifferent and tense, they punished her with an EXPNOCHILD rating and whisked her off to euth list land. CHUNKY IS AN AFFECTIONATE AND LOVING AND PLAYFUL CAT WHO HAS BEEN BETRAYED NOW BY BOTH OWNER AND SHELTER. SHE IS CERTAINLY HEALTHY AND ADOPTABLE BECAUSE BEHAVIOR RATINGS ARE ONLY SHOWING HER FEAR IN THE SHELTER AND NOT HER PAST BEHAVIOR IN A HOME. PLEASE GET THIS GIRL OUT OF HERE NOW BY EMAILING THE HELP DESK AT [email protected] FOR RESCUE INFO. CHUNKY IS A SWEET CAT WHO NEEDS YOU NOW!!

06/24/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
06/24/16 12:31 Basic Info: Chunky A1078640 is a 1yr old female brown tabby DSH feline who was born at home and is being surrendered along with her “brother” Lil Cat A1078641 (a 1yr old male gray tabby DSH) due to the teenager no longer wanting them after Lil Cat killed 1 possibly 2 of Chunky’s newborn kittens. Chunky hasn’t been seen by a veterinarian and allegedly gave birth 2-3days ago. Socialization: Around strangers Chunky will hide. She’s lived with a teenager and was gentle, relaxed/affectionate with them also with the adult, Lil Cat & an older female cat in the home. Chunky hasn’t been around dogs nor has she bitten/scratched any person or animal. Behavior: Chunky hasn’t been on a car ride. She isn’t bothered by the following: being picked up/held or with being placed into a carrier. Chunky hasn’t had her nails trimmed, been brushed or been disturbed while sleeping/resting. During baths Chunky will struggle to get away. For a New Family to Know: Chunky is described as friendly, affectionate, playful (at times), mellow, fearful (of loud noises & new people) & quiet with a low-medium activity level. When the owner is home Chunky follows them around. She enjoys ball & mouse toys (at times) and is an indoor only cat that sleeps on a cat bed. Chunky eats dry Meow Mix 1-3x a day. She is covered litter box trained with crystal litter within. Chunky uses a rope/fabric scratching post. Intake Behavior: Chunky had a soft body & soft eyes. She allowed all handling. Chunky allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of including positioning her during her photo session. Chunky didn’t seem to mind being picked up/held & was placed into a kennel with ease.

06/28/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Chunky’s former owner stated around strangers she will hide. She has lived with a teenager and was gentle, relaxed/affectionate with them also with the adult, Lil Cat & an older female cat in the home. Also, described as friendly, affectionate, playful (at times), mellow, fearful (of loud noises & new people) & quiet with a low-medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Chunky looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Chunky remains croched position at the back of the cage, alert with pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Chunky leans away from the assessor’s hand, but when touched she looks away attempting to hide. Placement determination: Experience / no child Chunky tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
