*** SAFE 10/24/16 *** CHULETA & LECHE NEED SOME TLC TONIGHT!!…2 years old and 8 months old this duo needs someone who will give them the time to feel safe, secure and comfortable. We all know that the ACC doesn’t give cats the time that a lot of them need. That’s why we ask every nite for people to FOSTER so cats like CHULETA & LECHE can acclimate and find loving homes!! Both of them are publicly adoptable or can be reserved through a rescue!! DON’T PASS THEM BY!! A little time is all it takes!! If you need assistance, email us at [email protected]

10/18/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Chuleta was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Chuleta keeps his body lowered in his litter box and has wide eyes fixated on all movements. Reaction when softly spoken to: Chuleta slow blinks at the assessor with his ears bent flat then he slowly turns his head away. Reaction to cage door opening: Chuleta remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Chuleta is very hesitant of contact and slowly leans away when the assessor extends his hand out. He is very tense, slowly shifts away with his tail lowered and closes his eyes when pet on his head. His body is tense and he becomes immobile and flinches when pet on his body. Behavior Determination: Experience No Children Chuleta tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
