11/03/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Chucky was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Chucky was resting at the back of the kennel, curled up on her blanket. Reaction when softly spoken to: Chucky lifts her head up, slow blinks at the assessor and doesn’t come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Chucky remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Chucky is hesitant of contact, leaned away when the assessor approached and flinched when touched. Her body is very tense, she tolerates petting with a very slow approach and her ears bend flat. She seems uncomfortable, slowly shifts away and hides behind her litter box. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Chucky tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
