Safe - 8-19-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: HVARS Please honor your pledges: http://www.hvars.org/
**SAFE 08/19/16** CHLOE is a 3 year old SPAYED black and white cutie who was adopted out from another shelter 2 years ago, and has now been dumped off at the ACC because her previous owners are moving to a new place that doesn’t allow pets. How cruel! Chloe’s notes state that she loves cat nip balls, string toys, and she does not scratch on furniture. Her favorite food is Cat Cafe, and she loves any treats you offer! In the shelter, Chloe is a bit tense, and understandabley so. She doesn’t understand what she did wrong to end up being shoved back into a cage, and she wants to go home. She has been rated EXPERIENCED. She is curious of her assessor and after taking a moment to warm up, relaxed and allowed petting. Unfortunately, Chloe has caught the shelter cold and everyone knows what that means for ACC kitties. She has been listed to DIE AT NOON TOMORROW unless someone pulls her to safety! Could that angel be you? Please offer to ADOPT/FOSTER her tonight! If you need assistance, contact the Help Desk at [email protected].

When stranger come over the house she becomes shy for a few minutes. But after a few minutes she warms up and slowly approaches to sniff. Chloe has never lived with dogs or cats. At the time of the assessment she was displaying timid behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and sniffs around curiously when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
