Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Chimi was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Chimi was at the back of the kennel with her body lowered. Reaction when softly spoken to: Chimi lifts her head up then comes forward slowly with her tail raised. Reaction to cage door opening: Chimi pauses then lip licks and looks around at her surroundings. Reaction to touch: Chimi sniffs the assessor’s hand then allows petting all over. Her movements are fast and she paces back and forth rubbing up against the assessor. She lip licks occasionally but is confident and affectionate at the front. Reaction to being picked up: Chimi was tense when picked up then struggled to be put down. Behavior Determination: Average Chimi interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
