Chester was brought in with limited information on their behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
Subjective / Observed Behavior – Bright, Alert, Responsive, allows all handling.
Resting in litter box, soft gaze and posture, a little wide-eyed. Lay in place when door opened, sniffed my hand, then leaned into pets, purred. Started eating offered treats after door closed.
Reaction to assessor:
Chester remains neutral, resting with head up in his cage bedding.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Chester becomes alert with soft eyes.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Chester remains in place, looking around with relaxed ears and forward.
Reaction to touch:
Chester head bunts the assessor’s hand, purrs and appreciates the petting on the head and body.
Reaction to being picked up:
He becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage.
