CHERRY – A1083673
Gone - 8-6-2016 Brooklyn
**GONE 08/06/16** CHERRY HAS AN EYE WHICH NEEDS IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION BUT RATHER THAN GIVE MEDICAL HELP ALL THE ACC CAN DO IS KILL THIS KITTEN!! Someone who thought they were doing CHERRY a favor saw her with a bulging eye and brought her to the ACC. The ACC gave her some pain meds but stated “no further treatment to be given” Really? This poor baby needed to see a competent vet but they have let her sit there since 8/1 and have done nothing to help her get well. CHERRY needs a patient foster who will understand that not only is she not feeling well, she is afraid and will need to be given some extra TLC to learn not all humans want to hurt her. She allowed some petting in the shelter but there is no way this poor baby will relax and feel better until she is OUT of there! IS THERE A FOSTER IN THE HOUSE? PLEASE HELP CHERRY GET THE MEDICAL NEEDED FOR HER EYE AND GIVE HER A CHANCE TO LIVE AND HAVE A HAPPY ENDING TO HER STORY!!

08/04/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Cherry was hiding in the litter box when I approached the cage When spoken quietly: Cherry continues to hide Reaction to door cage opening: Cherry remains motionless Reaction to touch: Cherry was tense but allowed petting Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience Cherry was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
