ENRICHMENT:

Returned for claim that he doesn’t use litter box; no information about what set-up they had for him during the week or so in their home or what the person tried (refused guidance from admissions). Appropriately using box here, both urination and defecation noted in box this morning, kennel clean; will monitor; previous guardian who had him since he was a kitten noted in profile that he is litter box-trained, using a hooded box and Fresh Step litter (didn’t specify clumping v. nonclumping). He’s a big sweetheart, allows all handling. Seems to eating okay. Gave some treats and a toy. Already back in adoptions.
02/13/17
He’s really a big Teddy bear: Sweet, shy, gentle, quiet, affectionate, appreciates attention and allows all handling. No litter box accidents, using appropriately since his return to the shelter. Prefers to eat the Friskies Ocean Whitefish & Tuna pate (blue can), doesn’t like the orange “meaty bits” variety. Doesn’t seem to eat much crunchy. LOVES his new Pillows for Paws plush toy! Videotaped him playing–the first time I’ve seen him let loose–and submitted. He went to the mobile event yesterday; when I see an offsite staff member I’ll see how he did.

Big fat sweet handsome housecat. Social, friendly, allows all handing including pick-up (though prefers not to be held for too long). A little shy, still a bit unsure about this place and his circumstances, but a really nice cat. Loves being brushed!
