CHASE – A1074161
Gone - 5-22-2016 Brooklyn
***GONE 05/22/16***Four pretty kittens, one terrible fate….meet CHRYSLER, CHASE, AMAZON and CHARMIN! These girls are four of 5 kittens who were taken to the ACC on May 18th, terrified, and who have been scheduled to die tomorrow. Their crime? Being within the ACC, which is hardly something these kitties would ever have wanted. All four of these girls are frightened at the shelter so of course, all of them have earned NEW HOPE ratings. Their dreams die with them shortly after noon tomorrow, unless foster/adopters are found for them tonight!

05/21/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Chase was hiding in the cat den When spoken quietly: Chase continues to hide but peeks out nervously at the assessor Reaction to door cage opening: Chase tries to flee Reaction to touch: Chase was tense and allows very limited contact before trying to flee Try picking cat up: Did not attmpt due to Chase being fearful and trying to flee Behavior Determination: NewHope Chase was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Chase seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. Chase has tried to flee and is extremely fearful. Chase currently does not tolerate much petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
