Chanel was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She allowed handling upon intake, but she continuously tried to jump off the counter. Reaction to Assessor: Chanel was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Chanel lifts her butt up and rubs her cheeks on her blanket. Reaction to cage door opening: Chanel remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Chanel allows petting on her head and back. She comes to the front, head-butts, and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Chanel remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Chanel interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
