***SAFE 10/09/16*** COPS FOR FOUND 2 YEAR OLD CASS IN A YARD…WHY DID THEY BRING HIM TO A HIGH KILL SHELTER?? Animal Rescue isn’t really a police officer’s job description, and likely the police officer was trying to do a good deed. But it’s very far from it! Now , AVERAGE RATED CASS will be in the fight of his life!!! To save his life! Wouldn’t it be a generous offer if the cop who found CASS could offer to FOSTER OR ADOPT? But it’s just a nice thought. Really, this sweet guy needs one of YOU to save him! Which one of you really has the HEART to do so?

I am a male org tabby and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 2 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 09/21/2016 from NY 10458, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

9/21/16 17:09 Basic information: Cass was brought in as a stray. The police found her in a yard, the police placed Cass in a cat carrier and brought him to the shelter. No other information could be provided during intake. Intake Behavior: During intake Cass had tense, stiff body. Cass allow himself to be scanned (negative), collared and pictured.

Reaction to assessor: Cass looks neutral, sitting upright by the front when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Cass remains at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, meowing attention. Reaction to touch: Cass stands with tail up then head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He calmly jumps back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Cass interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
