***SAFE 06/27/17***BEGINNER ALERT! ABSOLUTE SWEETHEART… 10 yr old CASINO was found in a garage and brought to the shelter – was lethargic but ate when food was given. He is ataxic and falls over – needs further tests to determine if cerebellar hypoplasia or other. Friendly cat.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/22/2017 from NY 10457, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior – lethargic, began eating when food placed in front of him EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Casino approaches the front and was calm, relaxed, and friendly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Casino emits a soft meow and reaches out gently with his paw. Reaction to cage door opening: Casino remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Casino head-butts and nudges the assessor with his head. He nuzzles against the assessor and begins to purr when petted. Reaction to being picked up: Casino remains calm. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet, Calm BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Casino interacts with the observer, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
