***SAFE 05/28/16*** PIGEON PURRER, CASHEW, WANTS TO GO HOME!! ….”Cashew remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Cashew gets up, head-butts, and leans in for petting. His purr sounds like he is imitating a pigeon. Reaction to being picked up: Cashew remains soft and purrs when held….CASHEW is a one year old cow cat with a wonderful BEGINNER rating as you can see!! How did CASHEW end up a stray?? We don’t know but since he is NEUTERED, we suspect his story has been an unhappy one….PLEASE HELP THIS CAT THAT PURRS LIKE A PIGEON FIND A PLACE TO ROOST TONIGHT!!…..APPLY TO FOSTER OR ADOPT….As always, volunteers are waiting at [email protected]

Cashew was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He allowed all handling upon intake and did not display any signs of aggression. He was tense and nervous during his initial medical exam, but tolerated all handling. Reaction to Assessor: Cashew was by the front and was calm and relaxed. Reaction when softly spoken to: Cashew meows like he has an old soul. Reaction to cage door opening: Cashew remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Cashew gets up, head-butts, and leans in for petting. His purr sounds like he is imitating a pigeon. Reaction to being picked up: Cashew remains soft and purrs when held. Behavior Determination: Beginner Cashew interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
