**SAFE 08/27/16** WHO OUT THERE TONIGHT HAS THE CALMING TOUCH?? That’s what RACHEL & CARROT need…..They have both come from a hoarding situation and who knows how much or how little attention they received? CARROT is only 5 months old and Rachel is 2 years old. Two of their companion cats were already listed and are GONE (Mooncake and Lemon Ice). Please don’t let that be their fate tomorrow at noon…..These two ladies just need time and TLC to blossom!! GIVE THEM THAT CHANCE!! APPLY TO FOSTER OR ADOPT NOW!!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Carrot looks tense, crouched position with head down when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Carrot remains alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Carrot stiffens up and slowly retreats away from the assessor’s hand while she looks around to hide. Placement determination: Experience / no child Carrot tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
