Candy Red was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Candy Red was at the front of the kennel meowing softly at the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Candy Red rubs up against the kennel door with her tail raised then reaches out with paws trying to get the assessor’s attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Candy Red is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Candy Red brushes up against the assessor allowing cheek and neck rubs. His body is relaxed, he continuously rubs up and solicits attention and is very affectionate. He tends to pause and focus on his surroundings then goes right back to soliciting attention. Reaction to being picked up: Candy Red was a bit tense when picked up, then got antsy and leaped away. Behavior Determination: Average Candy Red interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
