My name is CAMINIE. My Animal ID # is A1097719. – P
I am a male gray tabby domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 1 YEAR 7 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 11/23/2016 from NY 11369, owner surrender reason stated was MOVE2PRIVA. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-082353.

MOST RECENT MEDICAL INFORMATION AND WEIGHT
12/06/2016 Exam Type RE-EXAM – Medical Rating is 3 C – MAJOR CONDITIONS , Behavior Rating is EXPERIENCE, Weight 9.8 LBS.

12/06/16 URI noted on rounds S/O: Q/BAR. Eating well EENT: Eyes clear, mild mucoid nasal discharge H/L: Sneezing A: URI P: Rec doxycycline 1ml po q24 x 10 days. Continue to monitor while at BACC. Excellent prognosis

11/23/16 15:31 BASIC INFORMATION: Caminie is a gray tabby DSH 18month old cat. Caminie was found as a stray 18 months ago and has no known health issues. Caminie has been surrendered to ACC due to owners move to a residence that does not allow pets. SOCIALIZATION: Caminie is unbothered by strangers and is tolerant when strangers pet him. He has resided with children. Caminie plays with the children & is tolerant of their presence and allows them to pet him. Caminie has been exposed to dogs & cats, he gets along well with them and enjoys playing with them. He has not bitten or scratched another animal or a person within the past 10 days. BEHAVIOR: He may give a struggle to place him inside of carrier & trim his nails. He allows the owner to pick him up and also place him in carrier. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: Caminie is best described as a friendly, playful and affectionate cat. He has a high to medium activity level. Caminie enjoys playing with stuffed toys& also enjoys strings. When owner is home, Caminie follows owner around the house. Caminie would do best in a family or single person home. He has been kept indoors. He enjoys sleeping on the floor, or with the owner on the bed. Caminie eats dry food from any brand. Caminie is litter box trained. BEHAVIOR UPON INTAKE: Caminie appeared to be relaxed in the carrier. Once Caminie was taken out of carrier and became shy, after counselor handled carefully he allowed all handling & scanned negative.

11/26/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
As per previous owner, Caminie doesn’t mind when strangers come over and is tolerant when they pet him. He has lived with children and is tolerant of them and allows them to pet him. Caminie has been around other cats and dogs and got along well with them and enjoyed playing with them. His owner describes him as friendly, playful and affectionate cat with a high to medium activity level. Caminie likes to follow his owner around the house and he enjoys playing with strings and stuffed toys. Reaction to assessor: Caminie keeps his paws folded under his body then turns his head slowly towards the assessor and slow blinks. Reaction when softly spoken to: Caminie’s eyes widen, he leans forward and seems curious but doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Caminie remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Caminie leans away upon approach then slowly leans forward to sniffs the assessor’s hand. After a couple soft pets he slowly leans in for cheek rubs, gets up and gives soft head butts. He keeps his tail lowered, he occasionally lip licks and feels confident at the back and doesn’t come forward. Reaction to being picked up: Caminie is tense when picked up, lip licks and looks around wary of his surroundings. Behavior Determination: Experience Caminie may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.

Medical rating was 1 – NORMAL , behavior rating was NONE
Scanned negative BARH – tense, fearful, hangs at back. When lifted curls into crook of arm, body relaxes on table, allows all handling when approached slowly and quietly. M~ 18 months Mildly underweight for frame Ears, eyes, nose, throat clear Teeth white, mild gingivitis Coat clean, shedding No flea dirt or parasites found Nails medium Ambx4 NOSF Note: All three males in this grouping share a congenital patterning on tail where a slight natural kink at the base of the tail is reflected by a reversed hair patterning resembling a wave. Very cute. K16-082353: A1097719, 20, 21.
