RE- EXAM:

S/O: QAR, increased respiratory rate and effort, harsh and crackled lung sounds bilaterally, mild crusted nasal discharge, mild dehydration, very sweet cat
A: pneumonia
P: chest rads – severe pulmonary infiltrates (diffuse interstitial to alveolar pattern)
recommend NH placement for offsite hospitalization (needs at least a few days in oxygen cage, with IV fluids, IV antibiotics, supportive care)
prognosis: fair with treatment

MPND, elevated third eyelids, epiphora noted on pre-neuter exam.
Repeat meds: doxy 0.2 ml PO SID x10 days, erythromycin OU BID x10 days. Recheck before meds are finished and confirm pt’s health status.

P-doxycycline 50 mg/ml-0.25 ml PO SID x 10 days
erythromycin-apply 1/4 inch OU BID x 7 days
prognosis good with treatment
ok to return to foster care-will have URI signs (nasal/ocular d/c, sneezing) but appetite should be normal/almost normal with meds
