Vocal, affectionate and rolling around the kennel playfully. Nuzzles against my hand, ears tilt forward, appreciates attention. Didn’t mind being picked up.
Cage Condition:
Cage is slightly re-arranged
Reaction to assessor:
Cadbury is crouched in the back of her kennel as the assessor approaches, body neutral and ears forward.
Reaction when softly spoken to:
Cadbury stands up and stretches when spoken to softy, tail curled halfway.
Reaction to cage door opening:
Cadbury steps forward with a raised tail as the cage door opens.
Reaction to touch:
Cadbury allows petting along her head and body while leaning in, tail raised as it sways in circular motions. She chirps and continues to allow petting for the remainder of the assessment with no further reaction.
Reaction to being picked up:
Cadbury remains calm as the assessor picks her up and lifts her out of her kennel.

Cadbury interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
Profile:
Behavior during intake: Cadbury had a tense body, eyes dilated and was lip licking. Animal put up a struggle when being transferred into a den. No handling was able to be done due to the animal hissing, growling, swatting and charging at the den door.
