History: stray
Subjective: BAR, nervous, but friendly and good for medical handling
Evidence of Cruelty seen – n
Evidence of Trauma seen – n

BCS 4/9
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal or ocular discharge noted
Oral Exam: neg oral
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: intact female, no spay scar seen
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: Mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment: appears healthy with no URI signs, but litter mate has active URI
Prognosis: good
Plan: move to isolation
start doxycycline 10mg/kg PO SID x 10d
vet recheck in 7 and 10 day
Rabies vaccine accidentally given, will need to be revaccinated at 12 weeks.
SURGERY: Temporary waiver due to URI

Kitten was brought in as a foster to surrender from one of our foster volunteers. She had taken in a number of kittens found in her yard and raised them to be socialized until they were old enough to be surrendered. Limited profile as not all were in the home for a short period of time.

Kitten was litter box trained using uncovered box with clumping and crystal litter. They ate both wet and dry food

Behavior Notes:

Buttercup came to the front of the carrier and allowed for all handling with ease. He was friendly and liked being pet.
