10/28/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Burgendy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to him behavior in him previous home. Reaction to assessor: Burgendy was at the front, curious & looking out at his surroundings. Reaction when softly spoken to: Burgendy meows softly then gently brushes up against the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Burgendy becomes alert and retreats to the back. Reaction to touch: Burgendy seems unsure and lowers his head when the assessor extends his hand out. His movements are slow, he lightly head butts when rubbed on his head and seems to appreciate attention. He is easily startled by background noises and will lower his body. It doesn’t take long before he relaxes and slowly makes his way to the front of the kennel. Reaction to being picked up: Burgendy was tense when picked up, lip licked and looked around at his surroundings. Behavior Determination: Experience Burgendy may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
