BUMBLEBEE is an adorable kitten who has an injury to his left hind leg. He needs further medical evaluation to determine the cause and treatment. Monitor condition
S/O: QAR. ~5% dehydration. Eating well but needed a little coaxing. Normal urine and stool in litter, allows all handling
EENT: Eyes clear, no ocular or nasal discharge, pink mm
HL: No sneezing, normal RR/RE
ABD: Soft, non tender
INTEG: Small amount of bruising at left hip
MS: Non ambulatory LH with significant swelling around hip joint
UG: Male
Assessment:
LHL injury -severe swelling-missing acetabular cup and coxofemoral luxation LHL – appears comfortable

Dehydrated
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC. Adding LRS 20ml Sq q24 x 3 days.
Maybe require LH amputation. Prognosis: good with appropriate treatment
Profile::
09/08/17:
Limited profile, kitten was only in home for a short amount of time.
Basic information: Bumblebee is a 3 month old, orange and white DSH. He came in as a stray to his owner and he has an injury to his rear leg, but no known health issues. He has not seen a vet recently.
Socialization: Bumblebee has not lived with or spent time with children, dogs or other cats. He is described as being friendly and outgoing, and allows for all handling by his owner.
Behavior : Bumblebee is an affectionate and playful kitten. He likes to be near his family and before his leg injury would follow them around to be near them.
For a new family to know: Bumblebee is litter box trained using an uncovered box and clumping litter. He eats both wet and dry food.
Behavior during intake: Bumblebee was lethargic but did allow for all handling and meowed once while with counselor. When offered wet food he did eat and was drinking water.
