BUICK – A1087346
Gone - 8-31-2016 Brooklyn
**GONE
08/31/16** Here’s a recipe that could save the lives of BUICK and CRESCENT, if only someone would move forward with it: FOOD + PATIENCE + TLC = happy endings for two frightened boys who have only been at the ACC for a short time. Taken to the shelter as strays, BUICK and CRESCENT are understandably terrified of everything and the ACC has done what they always do, meaning, they slapped those cats with NEW HOPE ratings and scheduled their executions, tomorrow. It doesn’t have to end like that for BUICK and CRESCENT, so long as someone is willing to foster them for a NEW HOPE rescue. What’s it to be, then? Will YOU foster through a NEW HOPE rescue? Will YOU pledge toward their rescue, will YOU share their stories? Or will you just shrug and think “another day, another couple of stray cats, who cares….” Their lives are on the line and BUICK and CRESCENT are counting on YOU to help them both to safety through your efforts, TONIGHT!

08/30/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Buick was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Buick was hiding in his feral den at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Buick remains inside and wouldn’t come out when spoken to softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Buick remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Buick comes out the den with his body lowered and wide eyes fixated on the assessor. His ears bend flat and he quickly runs forward trying to flee the kennel. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Cescent is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
