**SAFE 04/13/16** PERFECTLY HEALTHY BUBBLES PLAYS PEEK-A-BOO WITH HER BLANKET AND WAS AFFECTIONATE WITH HER FAMILY – YET THEY DUMPED HER FOR SCRATCHING FURNITURE!! BUBBLES is a family cat whose owner stated he was surrendering his cat for personal problems – but we read more and see it’s because she scratched the furniture!! This six year old spayed girl has been in the family since she was a kitten. Yet this owner didn’t want to be bothered with behavior modification or getting extra scratch posts to help his cat have a place to use her claws! He even stated that he never trimmed her nails! BUBBLES was said to love playing with her toys and always used her litterbox. This super cat interacted with the assessor and allowed minimal petting because she is obviously afraid and unhappy about being in the cage in the ACC. BUBBLES got an EXPNOCHILD rating which was the excuse the ACC had to throw her on tonight’s list. OFFER TO ADOPT OR FOSTER THIS SUPER CAT – BUBBLES WILL GIVE YOU MANY MORE YEARS OF KITTY ANTICS AND LOVE – EMAIL THE HELP DESK AT [email protected] FOR RESCUE CONTACT INFO NOW.

She is being surrendered into our facility due to her destroying furniture. There are no known health issues or injury problems. With strangers she is friendly, and plays gently with those she knows. Anyone Bubbles is unfamiliar with she doesn’t play with. No experience with children, other cats or dogs. There is no known history of her biting another animal or person. Bubbles often scratches furniture. When she poops in the litter box she doesn’t cover it. She has no history of having litter box accidents. Has never been given a bath nor had her nails trimmed. Enjoys having her coat brushed; it’s a struggle when being held she will push away from you. But when she wants to be held she will climb on you. Bubbles is described as being very affectionate; with a medium activity level. She likes to play peek-a-boo with her blanket and play with her toys balls, stuffed and wand toys. When home she will follow you around and is mostly kept indoors. She sleeps on her scratching post or on a pillow; she was free fed Meow Mix dry food and she likes Temptations treats. She used a covered litter box with clumping Fresh Step litter. She would also use her scratching post which was vertical and made of carpet and rope. During intake Bubbles allowed handling to be scanned (negative); (although scanned negative Bubbles traces back to us with one) and photographed; unable to collar due to her being very nervous after a while during intake.
