I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 10/17/2016 from NY 10458, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-078330.

10/28/16 12:02 active uri signs seen on rounds move to isolation treat with doxycycline 10mg/kg sid x 10d 10/19/16 Palpated abdomen – possible fetus or firm object palpated in caudal right side of abdomen. Sedated pt with 0.1 ml Telazol IV and re-palpated and took rads (R lat and VD). Food seen in stomach, small intestines and colon. No fetuses visible on rads, but the uterus is visible and enlarged (fluid or soft tissue opacity). Continue to monitor pt in Medical. If pt shows vomiting, anorexia, fever or other signs of illness, consider pyometra and rec spay to remove infected uterus ASAP. If pt does not show signs of illness, okay to move out of Medical. 1088 —– 10/18/16 Giving birth Found 1 dead fetus in the cage Moved to medical for observation NOSF

Reaction to door opening: Brianna remains in place, relaxed body posture, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Brianna leans into the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She calmly jumps back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Brianna interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
