**SAFE 07/02/16** BETRAYED! BONNY is such a handsome love bug! This 1 year old black and white boy was dumped off at the shelter by his previous “owners,” who had him from the time they found him living on the streets at just 2 weeks old. This poor boy has been abandoned not just once in his short little life, but twice! He got separated from his mama cat at such a young age, and now the only real family he has ever known have turned their backs on him! Bonny is a loyal boy, following his purr-son around the house, and sleeping at their side at night. At the ACC, Bonny solicits attention, and has lots of head-butts to go around. He has been rated EXPNOCHILD, simply because he is a bit unsure of himself in the shelter environment and becomes a bit over stimulated at times. This handsome fellow deserves a loving home, who can show him what furr-ever means, not to be KILLED AT NOON TOMORROW, which is exactly what the people at the ACC have planned for him! Please don’t let them get their way. Offer to FOSTER/ADOPT Bonny RIGHT NOW! His last hours are slipping away, hurry!

06/21/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Bonny’s former owner described him as gentle, calm and affectionate. She has lived in a home with adults only. Reaction to assessor: Bonny looks neutral in the cage when approached by assessor. Reaction to door opening: Bonny stands up and engages the front of the cage, alert with soft eyes. Reaction to touch: Bonny head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. However, he becomes agitated then meow whines, hisses, and swats (no claws) while he continues to solicit. Placement determination: Experience / no child Initially Bonny solicits petting and attention, but after a few soft passes over the body he begins to meow whines and hisses at the assessor. This may be a sign of petting-induced aggression, where repeated physical contact results in discomfort for the cat, or it may be a sign of overstimulation. As a result of this observed behavior we recommend adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Bonny becomes reactive. Treats should be used to reward appropriate responses to physical attention.
