ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Sweet KNOWN HISTORY: Bonnie was brought in as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. During intake, Bonnie allowed to be transfer between carriers. She hissed at the admissions counselor. No further handling was performed due to the nature of the intake. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 8/29/17- affectionate and interactive, allows all handling ENRICHMENT NOTES: 8/28/17- Sitting up in litter box, soft eyes and body, facing away. Looked up when spoken to. Leaned and arched into pets, purred. Showed no interest in treats. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Bonnie remains neutral, lying down on her cage bedding. Reaction when softly spoken to: She remains in place. Reaction to cage door opening: Bonnie becomes alert with soft eyes, ears erect and forward. Reaction to touch: Bonnie head bunts the assessor’s hand and purrs while she appreciates the petting. Reaction to being picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Bonnie interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
