SAFE 8/19/16 A volunteer writes: The sweetest cats at the Care Center are often the ones who arrive under the most heartbreaking circumstances. That’s the case with Blue, a wonderful gentleman who was adopted several years ago and is now back in the cat adoption room, having been abandoned in an apartment lobby inside a pet carrier. Luckily someone in the building found Blue, and now he’s bunking with us again, winning over every staffer and volunteer with his friendliness and gentle ways. Blue scored an A+ on his behavior exam and holds no grudges; this tabby just wants to be back in a home with new pet parents to love. Help make it happen for our Mr. Blue by meeting this special guy today.
Another volunteer writes: Meet Mr. Blue Skies. He’s certainly not “feeling blue,” he has maintained a sunny, cheerful demeanor, and he’s the picture of health and heartiness. It’s a wonderful feat for an older cat in an environment that can be very stressful for many other, much younger ones. His happy, low stress character may account for his seemingly robust immune system. But let’s not test his fountain of youthfulness too much longer; we need to get him onto a comfy couch with the loving companionship of his special person or family. He’s super friendly and a real looker. He’s a tuxedo tiger (not sure if that’s a type of cat, but it fits him); with a white bib and big white circle around his mouth and chin. He has an adorable flat baby face, a little like a Persian but with far more space to breathe and an easy short coat. He’s a bit of a full-figured guy, so he could be your dieting and workout partner. Don’t let anyone tell you that an 11 year old cat is on the “back nine,” because this one is itching to get up to bat and slide into first. He’s a homerun for sure.
