***SAFE 04/07/2016***SAD & PREGNANT BROWN TABBY NEEDS RESCUE ANGEL! Meet our sweet damsel in distress–one year old Blitz, a gentle girl who tolerates petting and handling, who is in dire need of a kind purrson to help write a happy ending to her sad tale. Blitz was brought into the shelter as a stray, very scared but calmed down considerably. She will most likely be spay-aborted prior to being fostered or adopted. Besides a curable kitty cold, Blitz has a good prognosis, needs and deserves a quiet place to decompress from the shelter and learn to trust people. Can you be the special person who offers this little girl a new “leash” on life by offering to foster or adopt? Please contact a New Hope rescue if you can be Blitz’ hero. Transportation is available. Email our help desk for assistance–[email protected] and we will lead you through the easy peasy process. Make the call for this terrific tabby NOW!!!

04/04/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Blitz was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She was very nervous upon intake and hissed and attempted to flee during her initial medical exam. Reaction to Assessor: Blitz was hiding behind her litter box upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Blitz does not display a reaction, but appears tense. Reaction to cage door opening: Blitz remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Blitz remains immobile and her ears bend sideways, but she allows gentle petting on her head and starts to lip lick and blink. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Blitz tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
