Exam Type BEHAVIOR
**Update 04/12/16** During her first day, Blanca initially stayed by the back of the kennel and hisses when approached. However, she opens up when pet and spoken to softly. When held she is a tense and is wary of her surroundings. She continued to hide under blankets and hissed when the door opened on the second day, but quickly warms up and rubs when pet and rolls over. On her third day, she hisses upon initial approach, but cried out and head-butts hand afterwards. She comes to the front and becomes more affectionate, rubbing up against hand while rolling around. She keeps her tail low and enjoys treats. With each day, she continues to show improvement and now comes forward soliciting attention. She stops hissing when approached and stays by the front to rub against the assessor. She remains soft when held now allows all petting and handling. Behavior Determination: Average Blanca now interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. She has acclimated well into the shelter environment.
