History neonate came in last night, finder reported abandoned
Subjective
Observed Behavior – nursing well from bottle, urinated when stimulated by LVT overnight,
Evidence of Cruelty seen – no
Evidence of Trauma seen – no
Objective
T = not taken, subjectively warm to touch (on heating pad overnight) P = R = BCS 5/9
EENT: Eyes closed, ears pinnae folded over, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: oral cavity clear, no teeth eruption seen, pink mm
PLN: no palpated
H/L: no asculted
ABD: Non painful distended (postprandial), no masses palpated
U/G: female
MSI: nonambulatory, skin free of parasites, sparse hair coat consistent with age
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities, neuro exam not done dt age
Rectal: no done

feed q2hrs, manual stimulation to urinate and defecate
place with NH by 6pm tonight
px: good with appropriate care
