***GONE 08/18/17***BEGINNER RATED SUPER SWEET FIV+ SENIOR BISCOTTI WANTS A RETIREMENT HOME WHERE HE CAN GET THE TLC NEEDED TO RECUPERATE!! 12 year old BISCOTTI was brought in with a fracture of his right front limb – he is also dehydrated, emaciated and FIV+. He will need further medical to fix his leg and feel better. Despite his medical issues BISCOTTI is sweet and affectionate and deserves a chance for a happy ending to his story. Please help this sweet boy. MUST RESERVE HIM BY NOON!!

KNOWN HISTORY: Biscotti was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Mild dehydration. Allows all handling, voracious appetite ENRICHMENT NOTES: 08/17/17 Sitting towards front of kennel, crouched with head lowered onto kennel floor. Ears are forward. He lifts his head when I touch him and leans in gently when pet along the head and body. Doesn’t look like he’s doing too well. Sprayed feliway. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Biscotti was lying down on her blanket with his head resting against the wall. Reaction when softly spoken to: Biscotti turns his towards the assessor to make eye contact then slowly rises up and approaches the front. Reaction to cage door opening: Biscotti remains calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Biscotti sniffs the assessor’s hand, then leans his head in allowing petting and rubs all over his body. He lifts his body up, gently nudges the assessor’s hand and appreciates attention. Reaction to being picked up: Biscotti remained calm when picked up and leaned against the assessor’s hand when rubbed on his cheeks. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Sweet, Affectionate Please note that this cat has a severe medical condition so we may not be seeing any true behavior and behavior may change when the cat’s medical condition improves. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Biscotti interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
