History : stray
Subjective: BARH, eating well on his own
Observed Behavior – very sweet. Easily handleable. Did well for all medical handling and procedures
Evidence of Cruelty seen – no
Evidence of Trauma seen – no
Objective
P = wnl
R = eupneic
BCS 5/9
EENT: Eyes have mild purulent d/c ou, ears clean, purulent nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: kitten dentition, no oral lesions noted
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: MI
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, live fleas noted, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment:
URI with conjunctivitis
Fleas
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC
Move to iso
start erythromycin OU BID x10d until 11/1
start doxycycline 10mg/kg PO SID x10d until 11/1
Gave one dose Capstar 5.7mg PO
Prognosis: Good
SURGERY: temporary waiver from surgery due to underage and illness
