03/19/2017 PET PROFILE MEMO
03/19/17 14:28 Basic Info Bingo is a 12 year old spayed DSH feline who has been with her previous owner since she was a young kitten which they got at a pet store. Unfortunately, due to their son’s hospitalization for severe allergies towards her, they had to bring Bingo to us. She hasn’t had any injuries or health problems to their knowledge and has not taken her to a vet since summer of 2015. Socialization Around strangers, Bingo meets them by rolling over on her side and laying there by their feet. She has lived with two small boys (ages 4 and 6) whom she enjoyed being handled by them. She would play with them when they lured her with string. She didn’t play with the adults in the home, just cuddled with them. Bingo has never interacted with another cat or a dog. She has never bitten a person or an animal. Behavior Bingo meows a lot and does scratch up the furniture; however she has never had a scratching post. When she rides in a car, she tends to cry. The previous owners never gave her a bath or trimmed her nails however they took her to a grooming salon. The groomers mentioned that she wasn’t bothered under their care. She enjoys having her coat brushed and isn’t bothered if she’s disturbed while sleeping or resting. She does tend to struggle if you pick her up or try to hold her., as well as putting her in a cat carrier. For a New Family to Know Bingo is described to be shy in new settings but assertive, independent and quiet. She is said to have a medium activity level, with lying around as her number one thing to do. She loves to sleep but also run up and down the stairs at night. She tends to follow you around at home or will lie in her cat bed which is where she rests at. She likes to play with string, catnip toys and chase the laser pointer. She is litter box trained and has been kept mostly indoors. Bingo eats Meow Mix dry food, a cup three times a day. She only uses a hooded litter box with no flap and clumping clay litter. Behavior during Intake Bingo met counselor with purring and head-butting. She allowed all handling and allowed being photographed, collared and being scanned for a microchip (-).
