**SAFE 06/08/16** BENSON IS SO SCARED HE CAN ONLY THINK OF ESCAPE……BENSON would like nothing better that to be out of the ACC…well the ACC would like that too and in the most final way possible….Creamsicle BENSON is three years old and he is FIV+. BENSON looks to be a Flee-er rather than a Fighter so he would be OK with Non- FIV cats as well as other FIV cats. This young guy is TOTALLY TERRIFIED. He needs someone who will give him the space to blossom and he needs a NEW HOPE rescue to pull him. IF YOU CAN HELP OUT WITH THAT, PLEASE CONTACT A NEW HOPE RESCUE TONIGHT! Email HELPCATS@URGENTPODR if you need assistance…

06/05/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Benson was curled up tight in his litter box. He lowers his head and tries to hide. Reaction when spoken to softly: Benson makes eye contact with the assessor but doesn’t come forward. Reaction to door cage opening: Benson remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Benson’s eyes widen and he looks around the kennel ready to flee. His ears are flat and keeps his body low as he slowly inches towards the kennel door trying to escape. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Benson is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
