SAFE 2/2/18 A volunteer writes: A purring machine, as loud as a choochoo train… This is Bennett, a cute red head who in a nano second won my heart. He looks me right in the eye. No, he is not timid although he is not pushy. He rubs his head and body against my hand, purrs even louder and asks me to pick him up…I have a cat treat for him and I was so glad when he took it right from my fingers… Bennett is a very attractive cat, bright orange like the sun . He is a happy sight announcing a much awaited spring and summer. Come and meet him at the Manhattan Care Center. Bennett is the promise of a lifelong wonderful friendship…

Curled up under kuranda bed, eyes dilated, alert. Lay in place when door opened, started lip licking. Allowed and slightly leaned into pets, remained wary. Sat up and leaned away after a few minutes.
