BENJI – A1074565
Gone - 5-31-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 05/31/16*** OWNER DIED! Poor MOOKIE and BENJI were taken to the ACC after their former owner passed away. One hopes that Mookie and Benji knew only kindness at that person’s hand, and one wishes that somebody could have stepped up so these seniors did not have to enter the shelter system. Mookie has chronic ear conditions, going by the ACC’s suspicions, and he earned an EXPNOCHILD rating; Benji earned an AVERAGE rating and has a matted coat. There is probably nothing amiss with either cat which wouldn’t be fixed with some TLC and a trip to a competent vet. Make sure that Mookie and Benji are able to live out the rest of their lives, rather than following their dear departed owner to the Rainbow Bridge tomorrow, by advocating strongly for both cats, tonight!

05/24/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Benji looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Benji remains in place, alert with a blank stare. Reaction to touch: Benji accepts the stroke, but remains immobile in place and shows no interest to the touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Benji tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
