Unbelievably, the owner’s doctor told them to give up BEAUTY and they did…..but they didn’t bother to rehome this lovely lass, they just took the easy way out and dumped her at the shelter where senior cats have a difficult time….BEAUTY is a mellow lady who liked to follow her owner around and liked being brushed….IGNORE DOCTOR’S ORDERS AND ADD SOME BEAUTY TO YOUR LIFE TONIGHT!! Owner stated she has no medical issues but has never taken her to a vet. Socialization Beauty is friendly around strangers. She has spent time with kids of all ages and was affectionate and tolerant around them. She plays in a gentle manner with kids and adults. She has never lived or spent time with cats, dogs, or any other kind of animal. She has never bitten or scratched a person or animal. Behavior Owner stated Beauty has no behavior issues and tolerates car rides. Owner has never bathed or trimmed Beauty’s nails. She is not bothered by having her coat brushed, if picked up, if placed in a carrier, or if disturbed while sleeping. For a New Family to Know Beauty is described as friendly, affectionate, and mellow with a medium activity level. She will follow her owner around when home. Owner stated she does not play with toys. She was kept indoors only and slept anywhere. She uses a hooded cat litter box with clumping style litter in it. She scratched on furniture made out of fabric. Behavior during Intake Beauty tolerated all handling during intake. She tolerated petting and arched her back when touched. No signs of aggression were displayed during the intake procedure.

Reaction to door opening: Beauty stands with tail up in place, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Beauty slowly leans into the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She becomes antsy then jumps back into the cage. Placement determination: Average Beauty interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
