04/15/17 13:56 Basic Info Bash is a one year old DSH whose owner could not afford his medical costs for his seizures. He was last brought to a vet a month ago. Socialization Around strangers Bash will either ignnore them while he roams the house or swat at their ankles when they walk by. There is no simuli that is noticed that causes Bash to sometimes swat and sometimes ignore strangers. When he is playiong with adults he is very rough and uses his nails. He has grown up with a child in the home who was 8 years old. He is playful with the child and is a little rough but not as rough as when he plays with adults. He has not been around other dogs or cats before. He has bitten his owner once while being over stimluated by the petting but did not break the skin. He has never bitten an animal before. Behavior Bash does like to scratch on furniture if not given something to scratch on.He does not have accidents outside of the litter box but may use the bathroom while have a seizure. He sometimes scratches people while they are walking by. He is comfortable with car rides as long as he is in a carrier. Bash does not enjoy baths and will bite, swat, hiss and struggle. He will struggle and pull paw away when trying to trim nails. He struggles or runs away when trying to brush him. He will bite when trying to pick him up. He is not bothered by being put into a carrier. New Family Bash has a medium to high loevel of activity while at home, sometimes he lounges around and sometimes he is running around back and forth. He likes to be in the same room as owners but that is enough for him, he does not solicit further attention. He enjoys playing with race cars. He is kept indoors solely and sleeps anywhere inside that he wants. He is fed science diet dry food twice a day. He uses thelitter box well and does not have accidents outside of it. He has an uincovered litter box with high walls and uses fresh step clumping litter. He had a cardboard scratch post but did not use it and so there is a leather chair designated as his, he does not scratch on anything other than that chair. Intake Behavior Bash remained crouched but had a loose body and twitching tail as he looked around at his surroundings. He allowed all handling for scanning, collaring and photograph but is tense when picked up.
