Still a bit fearful, but will lean into petting after some time. Has potential to open up. Needs more time.

Very nervous, body is flat and is immobile when pet, but allows all touch & will slowly lean in & close his eyes.
BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Barron looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor.
Reaction to door opening: Barron remains crouched position, body held tightly at the back, alert with eyes wide open.
Reaction to touch: Barron accepts the stroke, slowly head-butts the assessor’s hand but remains cautious with his surroundings and stiffens up in place.

Barron tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter.
We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
PROFILE
Barron A1062721 is a 1 yr old white and gray tabby male Dsh who was found roaming the halls of his finders building. Barron approached the finder and began purring and rubbng his body on the finder’s leg.
During intake Barron had a tense body but allowed all handling. He was scanned (-), collared and photographed. He allowed to be carried and placed into the kennel where he allowed a few head rubs.
A volunteer writes: Barron is very shy. Once you start petting him he softens up. He likes his ears rubbed. Barron is looking for his forever human that can see the beautiful cat inside. Barron is like the flower that is waiting for just the right moment to blossom. Come and help Barron come out of his shell!
