11/15/16 15:04 Bali appeared healthy but was wet from being out in the rain. Upon intake, Bali appeared nervous and was transferred directly from trap to den with no issues. Client stated that this cat allows petting and handling once he trusts you.

Bali came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Bali appeared nervous and was not directly handled. Reaction to assessor: Bali is hiding in his den. Reaction when softly spoken to: Bali remains hidden, lying down in the den. Reaction to cage door opening: Bali tenses, up on his paws. Reaction to touch: Bali moves away to avoid touch and swats at the assessor, does not allow petting. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Bali does not approach the assessor, appears nervous, and does not allow handling. Bali is exhibiting behavior suited to rescue partners.
