History : O/S due to too many pets and cannot care for them. Surrendered with A1119054 SPARKLE.
Subjective: Cat is BARH.
Observed Behavior – Shy/timid, but warms up, leans into pets. Needed assitance of towel to restrain mainly due to startled by loud noises (people going in and out, dogs barking) and tries to flee. Allows all body parts to be touched. Hissed for blood draw, but did not escalate to higher aggression.
Evidence of Cruelty seen – no
Evidence of Trauma seen – no
Objective
T = NA P = wnl R = wnl BCS 4-5/9
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam:
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupnic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: wnl
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Rectal: not performed
Assessment:
Plan: Put on tech check for clean ears and start Tresaderm 6-8 drops AU q12h x 10d. Okay for surgery at Glendale tomorrow.
Prognosis:
Good-Excellent
SURGERY: Okay for surgery
