11/13/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Audi was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in a previous home. Reaction to assessor: Audi was curled up on blanket, quiet and motionless. Reaction when softly spoken to: Audi ignored assessor, remained curled up and motionless on blanket. Reaction to cage door opening: Audi remained quiet and motionless, looked up but did not make eye contact. Reaction to touch: Audi tensed, shifted weight to rear, hissed and swatted at extended hand. She did not allow assessor to touch her. Please note that Audi is being treated for a URI at the time of the evaluation. It is difficult to determine at this time how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior. Please not that her behavior may change once she has recovered from the URI. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Audi is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to swat, is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
