***SAFE 12/15/16 *** Atlas is a high-energy guy with dashing good looks and an urge to play! His favorite toy appears to be people’s hands (after all, they ARE the most fun…), though sometimes he gets a little too excited and may start to nip. He’s a friendly cat overall, and he really does just want to be where the action is! He’s excited to go to an experienced forever home (with plenty of time for fun and games of course!), and he currently has a URI.

11/30/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Atlas was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Atlas was at the front of the kennel rolling and reaching out with paws towards the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Atlas rolls around playfully; gently head butts the kennel door and is very affectionate. Reaction to cage door opening: Atlas gets up and paces back and forth ready to greet the assessor. Reaction to touch: Atlas sniffs the assessors hand and brushes up allowing rubs and petting all over. He appreciates attention and is very curious, constantly leaning out and looking at his surroundings. His tail is erect and he tends to turn around and focus on the assessor’s hand when rubbed on his back for an extended period of time. He pauses then grumbles as a warning then goes back to soliciting attention. Reaction to being picked up: Atlas was a bit tense when picked up, remains calm and looks around at his surroundings with his tail swaying back and forth. Behavior Determination: Experience Atlas may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
