Progress exam-severe URI History : stray intake 11/25. Started on doxycycline, erythromycin, LRS SQ, and nebulization for a severe URI. Subjective: BARH. Good appetite. No c/v/d but is congested and sneezing. Friendly and rubbing the front of the cage. Objective P = WNL R = WNL BCS 2/9 EENT: microphthalmia OD with lids crusted shut, mucoid ocular discharge OU, ears clean, crusted bloody/mucoid nasal discharge noted PLN: No enlargements noted H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic with audible upper resp congestion ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, unkempt hair coat CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities Assessment: Underweight URI-improved since intake Conjunctivitis Plan: Doxycycline until 12/4 Erythromycin until 12/4 Ok to d/c LRS Extend nebulization with saline SID x3d until 11/30 Continue to monitor while at BACC Recheck 11/30 Prognosis: Good with appropriate response to antibiotics
