10/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Athos was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Athos immediately stops moving as the assessor approach, keeps his body low and watches with wide focused eyes. Reaction when softly spoken to: Athos hisses then retreated into his litter box. Reaction to cage door opening: Athos remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Athos hisses, leans away when the assessor approaches then quickly runs forward trying to flee. He becomes immobile when touched and tolerates petting but has a tense body. He lip licks then retreats to the back in his litter box and lowers his head. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Athos tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
